Champion Advocate: Clara Hughes

A six-time Olympic medal winner, and the only athlete to win multiple medals in both the Winter and Summer Games, Clara Hughes is one of the bright stars of Canadian sport. In 2006, she donated $10,000 of her prize money to Right To Play, and has travelled across Canada and the world as an RTP ambassador, promoting the power of sport and play. A recipient of both the Order of Canada and Manitoba, Hughes also won the International Olympic Committee’s prestigious Sport and the Community Award in 2006.
